Richard Cox, pastor of First Christian Church, Geary, Oklahoma.
Seminary educated pastor experienced in providing spiritual guidance, leadership, and care to God’s people in rural and urban church settings.
Faith journey began as a young child raised in the Christian Faith. Accepted the Lord Jesus Christ at the age of twelve and was water baptized by immersion. In my young adult life, I served in the local church as youth sponsor, Sunday school teacher and bus minister. I received my call to the ministry at age thirty and have committed my life to this call.
I perceive my leadership strengths to include working well with all age groups of people helping them to feel included and important as a church member. My Bible teaching skills help people to understand and apply God’s word to their everyday life situations. I approach and situation with a positive attitude that says with God anything is possible. I lead by example.
Together my wife Maria and I have five children and eleven grandchildren. I’m a personal, candid, honest, prudent, and outgoing person who enjoys life outside the church but Christian in nature. I am a military veteran. My wife and I enjoy camping, fishing, western movies and quite time.
I invite you and your family to visit our church and worship God with is. We are a friendly caring and Bible believing congregation. We offer a traditional and contemporary worship service and Sunday morning. Hope to see you soon and God bless.

Drake Colvin
Associate Pastor
Pastor Drake Colvin is married to Autumn, and they have four children. Drake began his ministry in 2008 as a Youth Pastor with the Assembly of God church before becoming a Wesleyan pastor in 2013. He graduated from Oklahoma Wesleyan University with a degree in Ministry and Leadership, and later pursued a Master of Arts in Family Marriage Counseling from Liberty University. Drake continued his education and attended South University to earn a Doctor of Ministry degree, and is currently finishing his Doctorate Degree at Northeastern Seminary. Drake is excited to have joined the First Christian Church of Geary and is looking forward to the future.

Shelly has been filling in for Delores since May 2023. As of 2024, Shelly has taken over Delores duties.
